This is the home of Lord and Lady Rosse and their family. The grounds, which are open to the public all year, were laid out in 1830's and 40's by the second earl and contain rare plants from all over the world aswell as an artificial lake, formal gardens and one of the earliest examples of a suspension bridge.

Donaghmore Museum
Donaghmore is a workhouse museum that presents an eerie window on past workhouse conditions. Originally built as a workhouse, the museum has been restored by Avonmore. Dunmore Caves
One of the finest natural limestone caves in the country, Dunmore Cave has a large number of chambers with magnificent dripstone formations. Most spectacular is the 'Market Cross' stalagmite, which is over 20 feet high. Lough Derg
Lough Derg (Loch Deirgeirt in Irish) is the second largest lake (or lough) in the Republic of Ireland (after Lough Corrib) and the third largest in Ireland overall (after Lough Neagh). It borders parts of counties Galway, Clare, and Tipperary. The lake is the last of three on the River Shannon, with the other two, Lough Ree and Lough Allen being further north.
